El sello de James Lavelle, Mo Wax, dió cobijo a mediados de los años 90 a la crème de la crème de estilos como el trip hop, drum’n’bass, jungle, ambient techno y electrónica en general. Entre los artistas más significativos estaban genios como Dj Shadow, Dj Krush, Andrea Parker, Air, Luke Vivert, Attica Blues, Dr. Octagon, Money Mark o el proyecto del propio Labelle UNKLE. El sello fue absorbido por la multinacional A&M y hace ya tiempo que dejó de existir, pero el legado que nos dejó es inmensamente rico. Las referencias del sello Mo Wax pronto se convirtieron en piezas codiciadas por coleccionistas, y no sólo por la cantidad escasa de las tiradas, sino por lo que éstas contenían, trozos importantes de la historia de la música que se fabricó en los años 90. Para los que no pudimos conseguir aquellos maravillosos 12» nos queda como consuelo estos tres dobles recopialtorios (triples en versión vinilo) y que después de varias semanas rebuscándolos en medio de mi colección, por fin conseguí dar con ellos.
